Southern African Bulb Group

Next meeting on 28 March 2010

The Spring meeting of the Group will be on Sunday 28th March 2010, at Badger Farm Community Centre, off Badger Farm Road (A3090), Winchester, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Please note that Summer Time begins during the previous night, so if you forget to change your clocks and watches you may be late!)

The meeting will include a talk by John Grimshaw.

Please bring along plants that you particularly enjoy, which interest you, which you want to know more about, which you think might interest other people or which are just available so that we can all discuss them and learn about something new and interesting.

Doors open at 10 and the activities start at 10:45. There will be plant sales, and tea, coffee and some refreshments. There will be a £3 charge for admission. All who are interested in growing these plants will be welcome.

Directions to the meeting hall

  • Directions by road: Leave the M3 at junction 11 and proceed towards Winchester. At the first roundabout follow the sign to Winchester. At the second roundabout take the second exit up the hill towards Badger Farm. At the third roundabout take the fourth exit to the superstore - not the third exit (Meadow Way) which is signposted to Badger Farm. Follow the road right round the edge of the car park until you see the doctor's surgery. Next to it is the Badger Farm Community Centre. There is free parking.
  • The post code is SO22 4QB for those with satellite navigation.
  • MAPS:
    • Map of the location, courtesy of Google Maps (you can scroll around, change scale, etc.)
    • Another map which is more like a road atlas, thanks to Streetmap.co.uk (look for the orange arrow pointing to the meeting place)
    • A similar map at a smaller scale showing the access roads from the M3. Although it is not entirely obvious, Junction 11 is not a restricted junction and there is full access from (and to) both the north-bound and south-bound carriageways.
